Indian-American political donors have provided more financial support to the Republican Party for the 2026 U.S. midterm election cycle. Federal campaign finance records indicate that a group of 11 prominent donors gave nearly three times more to Republicans than to Democrats.
A review of Federal Election Commission filings shows these donors contributed approximately $10.8 million to Republican committees and groups. Democrats received about $3.3 million from the same group of individuals.
These figures represent contributions from only the selected donors and do not encompass all political donations from Indian Americans.
Of the total Republican contributions, roughly $7.1 million came from three specific donations to MAGA Inc, the super PAC that supports President Donald Trump.
Asha Jadeja Motwani, Krishna Tripuraneni, and Anjani Sinha were the three donors who contributed to MAGA Inc. This pattern of giving suggests a preference for the Republican Party among these donors.
