Indian-American voters are making their presence felt in the ongoing US midterm elections, particularly in races across states like Texas and New York.

A social media post by an Indian-American man in Texas, expressing his vote for Democrat James Talarico due to "xenophobia, racial resentment," has drawn widespread attention online.

The post on X by Vasant Bhatt received approximately 857,000 views, 7,300 likes, and 3,000 replies within seven hours of its publication on Monday.

Bhatt stated in his post that as a second-generation Indian American, he was "thoroughly disgusted by the xenophobia, racial resentment, and increasingly brazen attacks on my identity." He added that his family contributed to the American story through hard work.

In New York, over 500 Indian Americans rallied in support of Representative Tom Suozzi. Both Democratic and Republican parties are intensifying their outreach efforts to Indian-American and broader Asian-American voters.

The two parties are focusing their campaigns on closely contested districts to engage these voter groups.
