Residents of Jadcherla town in Mahabubnagar district are facing severe drinking water problems. Water supply has been cut off for ten days, causing hardship to the local population.

The 13th and 23rd wards of the town have not received Mission Bhagiratha water supply for the past ten days. This has left residents struggling to find potable water.

Despite bringing the issue to the attention of municipal staff, no action was taken. On Monday, women staged a protest with empty pots in front of the municipal office.

The demonstration lasted for approximately two hours, with protestors demanding an immediate restoration of drinking water supply.

Municipal Revenue Officer Salam arrived at the scene and spoke with the protesting women. He assured them that the issue would be resolved.

Following the RO's assurance, the women called off their protest. Officials said measures would be taken to restore water supply soon.
