The Janatantram party has strongly objected to the 'Vijayawada Utsavalu' being organized by Andhra Pradesh leaders for the past two years in Vijayawada. Janatantram alleged that selfish interests of the rulers are behind these festivals.
Janatantram stated that the rulers hope to shower the city with love and light under the guise of Navaratri celebrations. However, the party criticized that behind the grandeur of these nine nights, the leaders are weaving a noose for the city's future.
Janatantram opined that it would be foolish to think that the wise people of Vijayawada cannot assess this deceptive artifice. The party accused the rulers of trying to deceive the public.
Janatantram clarified that no one would object if the festivals were organized for the city with good intentions. However, the party warned that if it is like a festival where a goat is adorned and paraded before being sacrificed to the village deity, then there would certainly be an objection.
