BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday accused the Congress government of conspiring to privatize Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and alleged large-scale irregularities in the company’s operations.
Addressing the Singareni Karmika Garjana public meeting at Singareni Stadium in Godavarikhani, Karimnagar, he called upon workers to unite to protect the public sector undertaking.
KTR alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s brother-in-law, Sudhini Srujan Reddy, was controlling Singareni and accused the government of compromising the interests of the company and its workers.
He also raised concerns over alleged irregularities in tenders, diesel procurement, detonators, and overburden removal contracts.
The BRS leader alleged that 40 lakh metric tonnes of coal had gone missing across Singareni operations and demanded accountability for its disappearance.
These allegations directly impact the interests of Singareni workers and the public in Telangana. The potential privatization and alleged irregularities within the company could affect the future of thousands of employees.
