BRS working president KT Rama Rao has extended support to journalist Rekha Mudiraj after she was questioned at a police station. The incident, as reported by Telangana Today, has raised concerns over media freedom.

According to Telangana Today, Rekha Mudiraj was questioned for several hours at a police station while accompanied by her six-month-old child. KT Rama Rao expressed concern over this situation.

The BRS alleged that police registered a case against Rekha and summoned her for questioning for broadcasting a press conference organised by the opposition party on her YouTube channel.

The party claimed that she was allegedly questioned for around eight hours and was not allowed to breastfeed her child during the questioning.

Rama Rao, who has been following the developments since Wednesday night, spoke to the journalist over the phone on Thursday and enquired about the previous day’s events.

This incident raises important questions about media freedom and the rights of journalists in Telangana, which is a matter of concern for citizens across the state.
