Andhra Pradesh Minister for Women, Gummidi Sandhyarani, became emotional in Salur, Parvathipuram Manyam district. She shed tears while expressing her distress over the municipal chairperson position.
Minister Sandhyarani stated that the Salur Municipality gave a large majority to the Telugu Desam Party in the 2024 general elections. This happened after a long period, she added.
She noted that TDP leaders and workers are upset because the Salur Municipal Chairperson seat has been allotted to the Janasena party.
The minister said she could not bear this anguish and appealed for a reconsideration of the decision by the party high command.
Minister Gummidi Sandhyarani made this request to District In-charge Minister Atchannaidu during a meeting held in Salur. She asked him to work towards the high command reconsidering the matter.
