Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged on Saturday that KCR is diverting water from the Kondapochamma Sagar project to his farmhouse. He made these claims during a press conference held at Gandhi Bhavan.

MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy stated that KCR constructed the Kondapochamma Sagar project, costing thousands of crores of rupees, primarily to fulfill the water needs of his farmhouse.

He explained that a pond, named Panduranga Cheruvu, was excavated over 58 acres near KCR's farmhouse, a feature that did not exist in the area before 2016.

According to MP Chamala, after the completion of this pond in 2017, water from Kondapochamma Sagar has been continuously diverted and filled into it.

He further alleged that water is being pumped from Panduranga Cheruvu through dedicated pipelines to a three-acre well located within KCR's farmhouse premises.

MP Chamala called for a thorough investigation into these alleged water diversions from the project.
