Following the guidelines set by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), international tenders have been invited for this project. Companies from across the globe are eligible to apply for these works.
The primary objectives of this project include cleaning the river, controlling floods, constructing roads and bridges, and developing wastewater management systems. These works are expected to give a new appearance to Hyderabad city.
As part of this project, work will be undertaken in two zones, extending from the Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar reservoirs up to Bapughat. The government aims for comprehensive development of the entire river basin area.
