YSRCP candidate Vasu Yadav encountered obstacles while attempting to file his nomination papers at the Tirupati Municipal Corporation office on Saturday morning. He was accompanied by Tirupati MP Dr M Gurumoorthy and MLC Sipai Subramanyam.

Police officials at the entrance requested the YSRCP group to present their identity cards and nomination documents. As the MP was showing the papers, an unidentified individual seized them and fled, leading to a chaotic scene.

Media personnel who were documenting the events also faced an assault from unidentified individuals. These attackers confiscated mobile cameras from reporters and deleted all photographs and videos related to the incident.

YSRCP leaders, including the Tirupati MP, conducted a brief protest outside the municipal corporation office. They ended their demonstration after senior police officials assured them of adequate protection and advised them to return in the afternoon to file the nomination again.

Despite the assurances from senior police officials, the second attempt to file the nomination in the afternoon was also unsuccessful. A large gathering, identified as TDP activists, surrounded the nomination center and prevented the YSRCP candidate from submitting his papers.
