A team of foreign experts visited the Polavaram project for the first time on a two-day tour to inspect the crucial Earth Cum Rockfill Dam (ECRF) works. The team expressed satisfaction with the quality of the soil works.
On Friday, the quality of the core constructions related to ECRF was inspected at two locations, and officials conducted on-the-spot tests. The results of these tests satisfied the experts.
The first expert team included Richard Donnelly, Gian Franco Di Cicco, Sean Hinchberger, David Paul, along with PPA CEO Sanjeev Vobra.
Engineering officials experimentally explained the method by which this team would inspect the quality of the ECRF dam works.
