Muthukur, October 16: In light of the local body elections, the Krishnapatnam Sarpanch seat has been allotted to Backward Classes (BCs). On this occasion, B. Polayya, a leader of the fishermen's association from the village, announced his intention to contest as an independent candidate. He stated that the BC vote bank is a strong force in fishing villages. Polayya also mentioned that he would contest for some ward seats in addition to the Sarpanch position.
