A significant proposal concerning international students in the United States has come to light, as reported by Prime9News Telugu. According to this proposal, international students may face substantial fees.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is considering imposing a hefty fee for the 'Optional Practical Training' (OPT) program, Prime9News Telugu stated.

Under this proposal, students applying for OPT for the first time are suggested to pay a fee of 70,000 dollars. This would place a significant financial burden on students.

Furthermore, there is a consideration to impose a fee of 30,000 dollars for students applying for OPT a second time, Prime9News Telugu reported. This would also increase additional costs for students.

However, Prime9News Telugu clarified that these proposals are currently only ideas and have not yet been implemented. It is merely a discussion in its initial stages.

If these proposals are implemented, they would have a significant financial impact on students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana who wish to pursue higher education in the United States. This could affect their plans for studying abroad.
