Thirteen village health clinics have been launched in Markapur district as part of the Andhra Pradesh state government's program to open 265 Village Health Clinics across the state. The event was held virtually at the Markapur Collectorate.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Vijaya Suneetha stated that the government is giving special attention to basic health care in rural areas, as reported by The Hans India. She noted that people need not travel long distances if medical help is available in their own village.

Markapur MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy, Giddalur MLA Muthumula Ashok Reddy, and Yerragondapalem TDP in-charge Guduri Erixion Babu took part in the event.

The Collector explained that these clinics will treat common illnesses and provide medicines, making immediate medical assistance accessible to rural populations.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the state government to enhance healthcare infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.

The launch of these village health clinics is significant for readers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as it brings essential primary medical services closer to their homes, potentially leading to improved health outcomes.
