Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha held a review meeting with officials on Monday to discuss the conduct of local body elections. He directed them to take necessary measures to ensure the polls are peaceful, free, and impartial.
The SEC, along with state commission secretary A. Mallikarjuna, held the meeting in Vijayawada. Chief Secretary G. Mallikarjuna also participated in the discussions regarding election preparations.
Punetha emphasized the importance of providing adequate security for both candidates and voters. He instructed officials to prevent any disruptions during the election process.
The State Election Commissioner urged all departmental officials to work in coordination for the smooth conduct of the elections. He also directed strict implementation of the election code of conduct.
