Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (SEC) Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha on Saturday issued a warning that stringent action would be taken against individuals who create law and order issues during the upcoming local body polls.

Speaking to reporters, he mentioned that political party leaders had raised concerns about the state's law and order situation, to which the Election Commission has responded appropriately.

Commissioner Punetha indicated that additional security forces would be deployed if any violent incidents occur during the election process.

He also confirmed that enhanced security arrangements, including the installation of CCTV cameras, would be made at all nomination centers.

The Commissioner clarified that only three individuals, including the candidate, would be permitted to file nominations at the designated centers.
