State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha released the notification for MPTC and ZPTC elections in Amaravati on October 19. This notification follows the election schedule announced on the 14th of this month.
The Commissioner stated that elections would be conducted for 659 ZPTC seats across 28 district parishads and 9829 MPTC seats within 659 mandal parishads in the state.
However, he clarified that elections would not be held for four ZPTC and 29 MPTC seats. Details regarding these specific seats were not included in the notification.
A total of 2.81 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in these elections. Election officials have prepared the voter lists.
