The allocation of the Salur Municipal Chairperson post to Janasena in Parvathipuram Manyam district has led to discontent among Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members. This decision was made as part of the alliance adjustments, despite the TDP securing a large majority in the 2024 general elections in this municipality.
Minister Gummidi Sandhyarani became emotional regarding this matter. Speaking at a meeting held in Salur, she stated that she could not bear the distress caused by this decision.
She urged for measures to prevent damage to the party and requested efforts to make the high command reconsider its decision. Minister Sandhyarani appealed to District In-charge Minister Atchannaidu in this regard.
Minister Sandhyarani also stated that injustice has been done to the Backward Classes (BCs) and to the local TDP leaders who have worked for many years to ensure the victory of an ST MLA.
