Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. V. Anand has provided a clarification regarding the process of preparing the voter rolls in the state. He stated that due procedure was followed in this de novo exercise.
However, the officer failed to explain why the 2025 rolls were taken as the basis for the distribution of enumeration forms. This point remained unaddressed during the clarification.
The CEO emphasized that the voter roll preparation is a new exercise and all necessary protocols were adhered to. He highlighted the commitment to transparency in the entire process.
The Chief Electoral Officer's office has indicated its readiness to address any complaints or objections related to the voter list. The aim is to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral roll.
