Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju has urged officials to formulate a comprehensive strategic plan to develop medical tourism in the state. He made this statement during a meeting held in Hyderabad on October 9.
According to Andhrajyothy, Sanjay Jaju suggested the creation of a comprehensive strategic plan for the development of medical wellness tourism as part of the Telangana Tourism Policy 2025-30.
He made these remarks during a meeting with officials at the Secretariat on Friday. He stated that Hyderabad boasts world-class medical facilities, modern medical equipment, and skilled doctors.
The Andhrajyothy report indicates that Hyderabad has 89 hospitals accredited by the 'National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH)' and hospitals accredited by the 'Joint Commission International (JCI)'.
He revealed that patients from various countries are coming to Hyderabad for medical treatment, which signifies Telangana's importance as a medical tourism hub.
