The Telangana government has taken a significant step to resolve the issue of stalled property registrations due to incomplete NALA conversions. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that a memo was issued on Saturday, providing a permanent solution to a problem that has affected property owners for decades.
The memo specifically addresses cases where registrations were stalled solely because NALA conversion was not completed, despite the lands having been converted for residential use. This decision aims to rectify situations where properties, though used for residential purposes, continued to be reflected as agricultural land in revenue records.
According to The Times of India, Revenue Minister Srinivasa Reddy stated that the government had acknowledged the difficulties faced by owners of residential patta lands included in the 22-A prohibited list. These properties remained classified as agricultural land in revenue records due to the non-completion of the NALA process.
Clear guidelines have been issued to district collectors for the implementation of this new directive. Collectors have been instructed to thoroughly examine applications by verifying revenue records, ownership rights, and the ground situation of the properties.
After collecting applicable NALA charges and other government fees as per rules, authorities have been directed to complete the registration process. This measure is expected to bring considerable relief to property owners across Telangana.
This decision is highly relevant for readers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as it directly impacts property owners who have faced delays and complications in registering their residential lands due to NALA conversion issues, streamlining the process and ensuring legal clarity.
