The Telangana government has launched a comprehensive land resurvey program, which will proceed in three phases. The initiative aims to update land records, clarify property boundaries, and resolve long-pending disputes.
The first phase of this program covers 2,720 villages across 32 districts, excluding Hyderabad. The government plans to complete this initial phase by the end of November 2026.
Officials hope this initiative will improve ownership records and prevent disputes caused by outdated surveys. The program is designed to bring clarity to land-related issues.
So far, the resurvey has been completed in 285 revenue villages. Authorities have issued notices to landowners in these areas.
Landowners are invited to file objections to the survey findings. This step ensures accuracy and addresses any discrepancies in the updated records, officials said.
