The Telangana High Court has issued orders prohibiting the collection of parking fees at the Khammam District Government Hospital. The court delivered its verdict on October 9, 2026, providing significant relief to the public.

Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy's bench heard the petition filed by Naveenraj, Wajid, and others. The petitioners expressed their grievance that fees were being collected despite the lack of parking facilities.

Allegations were made that excessive parking fees were being collected in violation of regulations. The High Court took these allegations into consideration.

Andhrajyothy reported that there are no parking facilities available anywhere from Nampally to Punjagutta in Hyderabad. This situation was also brought to the court's attention.

The High Court clarified that collecting fees without providing parking facilities is incorrect. It stated that this imposes an additional burden on the public.

This ruling directly benefits the residents of Khammam district in Telangana, reducing the financial burden on patients and visitors to the hospital.
