Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is holding recognition union elections after a long gap of nearly ten years. NTV Telugu reported that there is significant interest and anticipation among RTC employees and workers regarding these elections.

The state labor department is overseeing the conduct of these elections. Polling, which began at 5 AM in RTC depots across the state, will continue until 6 PM.

The polling process is being conducted using the traditional ballot paper method. A total of 36,300 RTC workers are expected to exercise their right to vote in these elections.

Each worker is required to cast two votes: one for the state-level recognition union and another for the region-level recognition union.

These elections will strengthen worker representation. This is an important opportunity for RTC workers in Telangana to voice their rights and demands.
