Tenant farmers in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district are facing severe hardships. These farmers, who depend on agriculture without owning land, are excluded from government schemes and are experiencing financial ruin.

For years, these farmers have cultivated crops on leased lands. However, due to drought conditions and other factors, their crops are withering, leading to losses. This has resulted in them falling into debt as their investments are not recovered.

Government schemes from both central and state administrations do not apply to tenant farmers. Banks are also unwilling to provide loans, forcing these farmers to borrow from private lenders at high interest rates.

Crop insurance facilities are not available to them when they suffer losses. This lack of support leaves them unable to recover from financial setbacks, causing immense distress.

The tenant farmers are appealing to the government for assistance, urging that government schemes be extended to include them. They are requesting a pathway to escape the cycle of debt.

Farmers and leaders of farmer associations are demanding that the government immediately address the issues faced by tenant farmers and provide them with necessary support.
