Residents of Thandas in Kulkacherla mandal, Vikarabad district, are once again migrating for employment. Those who had returned to their native villages during the BRS government's tenure are now leaving again under Congress rule.

Tribal farmers are expressing distress as their crops are drying up due to a lack of irrigation water and electricity. This has led to a scarcity of employment, forcing them to seek livelihoods in other regions.

The sight of locked houses in the Thandas of Kulkacherla mandal clearly indicates the severity of this migration. Villages are becoming deserted as entire families are migrating.

Previously, people from the Parigi and Kodangal constituencies in the district would travel to Dubai, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad for work. However, they returned to their native villages due to the farmer welfare schemes, development, and employment generation implemented by the BRS government.

Now, under Congress rule, the situation has changed, and the lack of employment opportunities has made migration inevitable once again, according to the residents of the Thandas.

This renewed wave of migration is significantly impacting the rural economy of Vikarabad district. There is an urgent need to create local employment opportunities and prevent further migration.
