Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao met Union Minister G Kishan Reddy to discuss several pending development matters. He urged the Union Minister to accelerate decisions on coal and fertilizer supplies for the state.
Minister Tummala specifically requested the allocation of Mahanadi coal for the Yadadri thermal power plant. This request had been previously made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Additionally, Tummala asked the Centre to find a permanent solution to the operational problems at Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (RFCL). The aim is to ensure uninterrupted urea supplies to farmers across Telangana.
These demands were formally submitted through representations during the meeting between Tummala Nageswara Rao and G Kishan Reddy. The meeting focused on seeking the Union government's intervention for faster action on these issues.
There is no indication yet that the Centre has accepted these requests or issued any approvals. Further developments are awaited regarding these proposals.
