Janasena leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna filed his nomination as the mayoral candidate for the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. He submitted his papers at the RO office on October 18, 2026, after a rally from his office.
Alliance leaders and party workers accompanied Vangaveeti Radhakrishna during the nomination process. They participated in the rally leading up to the RO office.
Speaking to the media afterward, Vangaveeti Radhakrishna stated that he is contesting for the mayor's post with the approval of the TDP, Janasena, and BJP alliance.
He expressed confidence in winning the election and assured that he would work for the development of Vijayawada.
Vangaveeti Radhakrishna added that with the cooperation of Chief Minister Chandrababu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and the city's MLAs, he would develop Vijayawada and bring it a good reputation.
