The political atmosphere surrounding the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation mayoral election has become charged. A verbal dispute occurred between former MP Vijayasai Reddy and TDP MP Kesineni Chinni.
Vijayasai Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam Party conspired to have retired IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao contest as an independent candidate. TDP MP Kesineni Chinni responded strongly to these accusations.
Kesineni Chinni warned Vijayasai Reddy to stop spreading false information about the Telugu Desam Party. He stated that making baseless allegations is inappropriate.
Vijayasai Reddy claimed that AB Venkateswara Rao is contesting as an independent under the direction of TDP chief and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Vijayasai Reddy also stated that the TDP is trying to gain an advantage by sending Vangaveeti Radha, who belongs to the Kapu community, to the Janasena Party.
