Warangal leaders of the Kakroch Janata Party (CJP) have strongly condemned the alleged illegal arrests of CJP members traveling to a peaceful protest in Delhi. The incident, which occurred on October 10, 2026, involved police in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, intercepting CJP leaders from North Telangana who were en route to Delhi.

According to HMTV, CJP leaders expressed outrage, stating it was shameful for the central government to conduct illegal arrests of individuals exercising their constitutional right to peaceful protest in Delhi. The protest was organized to demand the resignation of Central Election Officer Gnaneshwar, holding him morally responsible for irregularities in the SIR process.

CJP leaders reported that police obstructed and arrested them, causing significant distress. They claimed they were held for two days under the guise of arrest, then sent back to their regions as captives among the police. They emphasized that protesting under the freedom guaranteed by the Indian Constitution is not wrong.

Warangal CJP leaders accused these arrests of suppressing democratic rights. They stated that the right to peaceful protest is being trampled upon.

The CJP leaders in Warangal believe that the illegal arrests of leaders traveling from Telangana to Delhi infringe upon the rights of the state's citizens and are contrary to democratic values.
