Women's organizations have expressed strong anger over the conduct of police towards women and transgender protestors during recent demonstrations in Delhi. They demanded action against police officers who allegedly sexually harassed women participating in protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar.

Representatives from the women's groups submitted a memorandum to senior police officials. They demanded strict action against the accused police personnel.
The women's organizations called for an immediate inquiry into the incident and punishment for those responsible. The protests took place on October 17.
