The YSR Congress Party filed an appeal in the High Court on October 17, challenging the single judge's order to deploy central forces for the security of local body elections.
The hearing on this appeal has been adjourned until tomorrow. The court considered the request from the party's lawyers for more time to file an affidavit.
Allegations have surfaced that ruling party leaders are preventing YSRCP candidates from filing their nominations. In these incidents, police are playing a passive role.
Senior advocate Sudhakar Reddy, representing the party, stated that an affidavit detailing the incidents during the nomination process would be submitted to the court on Tuesday.
Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas responded, indicating that the hearing on this appeal would take place tomorrow.
